Delhi Police gives “Aakhri Aahuti” – Wardi Nahi Ye Khaal Hai

Delhi has been seeing a surge in the medical cases from the past few weeks due to which lockdown has been imposed on the capital. While most of us are sitting at our homes to break the chain of virus spread, our warriors are giving a tough fight to this pandemic. The sudden rise in the active cases and deaths has led people to maintain distance from their loved ones which is why not many relatives are gathering at the funeral of their loved ones.

The same situation has hit the family of Smt. Arpita Gungun, Vice-President, Ek Hi Rasta; who lost her mother Smt. Geeta Ganguly on 27th April 2021. The departed soul was bedridden for the past eight years and left for the heavenly abode due to prolonged illness. She was a resident of Delhi’s Rohini Sector 18. When this news reached Delhi Police, the warriors (Policemen) came into action without any delay. ASI Vijay Kumar and Head Constable Chetan from Badli Police Station reached the residence of Smt. Arpita Gungun and helped the family members in the hard time. They helped the family in carrying her bier to the cemetery in Sector 17 where her last rites were performed. Delhi Police once again proved that it is Dil Ki Police i.e. a force with a golden heart. IPS Robin Hibu has to be thanked for understanding the emergency and providing quick action to the situation. He is the first IPS officer from North East India – a cop with a golden heart to understand the plight of the needy people.

IPS Robin Hibu candid talk with Shilpa Bhawana on NEWS 24 in the program “Ek Mulaqat Shilpa Bhawana Ke Saath”

Currently, the Trust “Ek Hi Rasta” is working on the project titled “Wardi Nahi Ye Khaal Hai” hosted & narrated by Shilpa Bhawana. This project is initiated to highlight the heroic, emotional and gallantry acts of all Indian Armed and Non-Armed Forces. The project is directed by Sidhant ‘Saheb Ji’, Chairman Director, BKT Media Pvt. Ltd. The support and sacrifices of their families are also made a part to bring the blessed deeds in the good light of society. Undoubtedly, this act of Delhi Police has set a perfect example of this great initiative.
